In Astrology, the North Node represents our path of growth, our karmic destiny, and the direction our soul is invited to follow in this lifetime. It is not a planet but a point where the orbit of the moon intersects the path of the sun. While the South Node speaks of what is familiar, the North Node pulls us toward transformation, expansion, and deeper alignment with our higher self.
This concept is what inspired the name NNODE. Not simply a play on words, but a declaration: that our journey of well-being must point North.
At NNODE, we follow the principles of cosmic herbalism — a blend of ancient herbal wisdom and astrological insight. Rather than seeing the body as separate from nature, we look at it as part of the same elemental flow: earth, water, fire, and air. Each body carries its own elemental signature.
Our culture teaches us to look outside of ourselves to explain illness: germs, parasites, bacteria, the weather, the air, the food. As if we were nature's target. But we are not under attack. The truth is: the body does not lie. Every physical or emotional symptom is a message of misalignment. Instead of chasing external causes, what if we looked inward? What if we listened?
The greatest lesson life has offered me is this: healing begins within. The root cause of dis-ease is often internal, not external. And that requires us to shift from the famous quote by philosopher René Descartes: I think, therefore I am, to something deeper and more embodied: I feel, therefore I am.
Over time, I have come to understand that feeling is what truly anchors our presence in the world. When we are not whole, the body takes it upon itself to project that fragmentation. Too often, people look far and wide for answers about their lives, when in fact, the answers are already within them. Herbalism and Astrology showed me that. To tend to ourselves. To honour our rhythms. To create rituals that reconnect us with the wisdom our bodies already carry.
This is what NNODE is about, your body, mind, and soul already know the way, we are just here to help you remember.
